Toledoan who fired gun near bar gets 11 months

A Toledo man who fired several shots outside a bar in front a real-time crime camera was sentenced Wednesday to 11 months in prison.

Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Linda Jennings also ordered that the gun used by John Winfree, Jr., 23, of 1327 Waverly Ave. be destroyed.

Last month, Winfree pleaded no contest to and was found guilty of attempted carrying a concealed weapon for the Jan. 25 incident outside the Upton Bar and Grill at Marlow Road and Upton Avenue.
