Way Public Library is hosting Becky White-Schooner of Schooner Farms today at a 2 p.m. to discuss canning procedures and demonstrate prepping and processing materials. She and her husband have a self-sustainable farm in Weston.
On Tuesday, the library will show 12 Years a Slave at 2 p.m. at 7 p.m. It is based on the true story of Solomon Northup, a free black man who was abducted and sold into slavery. The film won three Oscars, including best picture.
Both library programs are free with no registration required.
