A motorcycle and car collided at Dorr Street and Byrne Road late Friday and the motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike, Toledo Police said.

The motorcyclist, Kenneth Wyatt of Orville Drive, was taken by Life Squad to University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio Hospital.

A Toledo police accident reconstructionist was dispatched to the scene.

The crash was reported about 10:10 p.m.

According to police, the motorcycle, traveling east on Dorr, was in the curb lane stopped at the intersection of Byrne when the car, which was westbound on Dorr, was stopped at the intersection in the left turn lane.

The traffic light turned green for the motorcyclist and he proceeded through the intersection, according to police. The car driver, Alan Parks, 20, of Detroit also said he had a green light - as did witnesses - and he headed into the intersection, making a left turn to head south on Byrne.

With Mr. Parks in the car was Elliot Free, 19, of Detroit.
