Toledo Edison crews worked late tonight to restore power to customers in Perrysburg and across northwest Ohio after evening thunderstorms.

Upwards of 100 customers were without electricity in the Perrysburg area. Scattered outages were reported in Lucas County, affecting more than 200 customers in Toledo, Sylvania Township, and Harding Township.

The utility on its website estimated that power would be restored to most areas by 11:30 p.m.

Chris Eck, Toledo Edison spokesman, said the outages were reported about 8 p.m., as strong wind toppled poles or brought down trees or limbs on power lines.
