Ability Center hosts cookout, slates tours

The Ability Center of Greater Toledo will host an open house and cookout event at its Sylvania campus.

The event from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday will offer tours of the 17-acre campus at 5605 Monroe St. Staff will talk about the center’s programs and volunteer opportunities. Food will be provided, along with live entertainment by Steve Taylor and NTouch Reggae Band.

The nonprofit serves Lucas, Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Ottawa, Williams, and Wood counties with a mission to assist people with disabilities to live, work, and socialize within a fully accessible community.
