Bones found in Montana not of missing Morenci boys
2/9/2018MORENCI, Mich. — An analysis determined bones found at a Montana shed do not belong to the three Lenawee County boys reported missing in 2010.
The Missoula County coroner's office announced Friday the three sets of facial bone fragments and teeth found there in September are at least 99 years old. The bones appear "historical and archaeological in origin,” officials said.
The box contained human remains from three children believed to be between 2 and 4, 5 and 8, and 6 and 10 years old at the time of their deaths.
Andrew, Alexander, and Tanner Skelton were last seen in their father’s backyard on Nov. 26, 2010. The boys were 9, 7, and 5 years old at the time, respectively. Investigators said they have received about 2,000 tips in the case.
