Way library to end most overdue fees

The Way Public Library in Perrysburg will be a fine-free library starting Oct. 1.

Library officials announced Friday the decision to eliminate fines for most overdue books and materials. They described the collected late fees as a significant barrier to library use.

Lost or damaged items will still require replacement or repair costs. Any item kept for 30 days after its final due date is considered lost as well.
