Fosters needed for displaced dogs

9/11/2018

The Toledo Area Humane Society is in need of fosters to help care for 16 dogs being evacuated from a South Carolina shelter in advance of Hurricane Florence.

The dogs from the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach will arrive Thursday. An unknown number of cats may also be relocated to Toledo from the shelter.

Fosters will take in either one of the southern canines or a dog currently in the shelter to free up space for an incoming one. The expected length of fostering is two to four weeks.

Those interested in fostering should visit toledohu mane.org/become-a-pet-foster-parent to download an application and submit it to foster@toledohumane.org as soon as possible.
