  • Two adult women are charged with fighting each other in a South Toledo apartment parking lot, according to an affidavit filed in Toledo Municipal Court.

Elizabeth Giles, 64, and Virginia Edwards, 66, both of Michaelmas Manor on Schneider Road, are each charged with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor offense.

Shortly before 7 p.m. Sunday, Toledo police responded to a parking lot of the senior housing facility for a fight, according to the affidavit.

Ms. Edwards and Ms. Giles were engaged in a mutual physical fight, according to court records, though it was not specified why the women were fighting.

Ms. Edwards allegedly struck Ms. Giles with a metal cane, court documents show.

The women fell onto the concrete and began punching and scratching each other, according to records. Both sustained minor facial injuries.

Both were arrested by Toledo police and booked in the Lucas County jail, where they were each released on their own recognizance.

The women are scheduled to appear in Toledo Municipal Court Tuesday.
