For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

Dogs killed Aug. 25 under the direction of Richard Stewart, director of the Lucas County Canine Care & Control:

Breed and description; reason; intake type and date with location found if stray. Dogs killed for poor behavior on body-handling and resource-guarding assessments are scored on a scale of 5, with higher scores being more aggressive. Dog-aggression assessments are not scored:

Boxer/German shepherd mix, tan and white male, unlicensed; veterinarian recommended euthanasia/quality of life (injured, necrotic tail with bone sticking out; bleeding; unable to treat); stray picked up by a control officer July 16 at 1340 W. Woodruff Ave., Toledo.

“Pit bull,” brown and black male, unlicensed; bite history; surrendered Aug. 16 by Christine Hubbell, Elder Drive, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” orange and white female, unlicensed; aggressive; stray picked up by a control officer Aug. 21 at 539 Acklin Ave., Toledo.

Maltese mix, white and brown female, unlicensed; veterinarian recommended euthanasia/quality of life (not eating or drinking; very large, hard tumor across the caudal two right mammary glands); stray picked up by a control officer Aug. 21 at Ketcham Avenue and Maher Street, Toledo.
