Three Toledo men were shot early today in front of a central Toledo motorcycle club. The motive was unknown, city police said.

Michael King, Torian Tall, and Christopher Carrington are being treated at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center for gunshot wounds, police said. A hospital spokesman said Mr. Tall was in fair condition. No information was available about the other two.

A Toledo police sergeant heard several shots fired about 3:45 a.m. in the 1300 block of West Bancroft. He then found Mr. King with gunshot wounds to his legs, lying nearby in front of 1331 West Bancroft St., police said.

About the same time police responded to reports of shots fired in front of the Purebred Motorcycle Club, 1336 West Bancroft St. Upon arrival, they came upon Mr. King and saw numerous people fleeing the area, officers said.

Moments later, Mr. Tall and Mr. Carrington arrived at the hospital’s emergency room with gunshot wounds. Mr. Tall was shot in the chest. Mr. Carrington had a gunshot wound in his left ankle, police said.

Both told police they had been shot at the same location.
