Lucas County sheriff’s deputies arrested a central city man who is believed to have shot a 17-year-old boy last month.
Jeromain C. Dorsey Jr., 21, of the 1440 block of Lincoln Avenue, was arrested Tuesday and booked in the Lucas County jail on a felonious assault charge, a second-degree felony.
He is accused of shooting D’Laquan Barber, 17, at least once in the neck July 3 while in the 1600 block of Milburn Avenue, according to an affidavit filed in Toledo Municipal Court.
The Barber youth was found on the ground between a house and a fence. He was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
Police said the shooting might have been drug-related.
Mr. Dorsey is scheduled to appear Wednesday in Toledo Municipal Court.
