Man accused of attempted rape at Toledo nursing home

A 56-year-old man was arrested Monday after police say he tried to rape a woman at a central Toledo nursing home.

Toledo police say Robert Rose threw the victim onto a bed at Liberty West Nursing Center at 2051 Collingwood Blvd. and lifted her dress as he pulled down his pants. The victim was able to fight Mr. Rose off and get away.

Court records show Mr. Rose was deemed to be a danger to himself and others. His arraignment is scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday in Toledo Municipal Court before Judge Timothy Kuhlman.
