Person shot in North Toledo

A male victim was shot around 7 p.m. Friday near the intersection of North Michigan and Walnut streets in North Toledo, police on the scene said.

The victim, whose name and condition were not immediately released by authorities, was on foot near that intersection when he was shot. Police said he was conscious and talking, and was taken to an area hospital.

Authorities declined to provide more information, citing an investigation, but said no arrests have been made.
