Bedford Township woman injured in fire dies

LAMBERTVILLE — A 79-year-old woman who was injured in a fire at her Bedford Township home died Sunday in Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.

Florence J. Geiger was transported Saturday from 3773 Consear Rd., to the hospital after township firefighters and Monroe County sheriff’s deputies responded to a fire at the residence.

The sheriff’s office said she suffered burns to her body.

The Lucas County Coroner’s office performed an autopsy today. However, a ruling has not been made.
