The back wheels of a Toledo fire truck became stuck in a sinkhole during a medical run early Tuesday morning on Peak Avenue.

Pvt. Sterling Rahe, spokesperson for the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department, said a tow truck had to be brought in to get the truck out. No injuries were reported.

“They were backing out when the roadway opened up,” he said.

The truck, engine 18, was taken to the shop to be checked for damage, he said, and fire officials put barricades on the road.
