Ohioans to Stop Executions will host a discussion on the death penalty on Sunday in Toledo.
The next inmate scheduled for lethal injection is from Toledo: William T. Montgomery, facing execution April 11 for the 1986 robbery-murder of Debra Ogle, 20. and serving a life sentence for the murder of her roommate, Cynthia Tincher, 19.
The discussion will occur at 3:30 p.m. at First Unitarian Church, 3205 Glendale Ave., with the Rev. TK Barger; Joseph Moran of Toledoans for Prison Awareness; the Rev. Jack Sullivan, OTSE chairman; and Kevin Werner, OTSE executive director.
The event will also include Joe D’Ambrosio, a Cleveland man freed from death row after 22 years, and a screening of the documentary The Gathering about exonerated death row survivors.
