'We feel so fortunate to have a library that offers so much to all of us'

Over the years as our kids change and grow, and as our family’s life gets busier and busier, the one that always remains constant is our love for our local library. When our kids are toddler- and preschool-aged, we have always loved participating in story hours (both at branch locations and at the Main Library). One of my favorite memories of the Library is the image of my 5-year-old’s enthusiasm and pride when he gets to use his very own library card to check out his books. On the other hand, my 9-year-old really appreciates that she can always check with the children’s librarian for recommendations when in need of a good resource book for one of her school projects. And of course, every summer we make weekly trips to update the kids’ reading houses when participating in the Library’s Summer Reading Program. We feel so fortunate to have a library that offers so much to all of us – whatever our age!
