WAUSEON — The host Indians grabbed a 14-6 lead in the second quarter, but that was it as Napoleon (1-1) closed with 37 unanswered points Friday night.

The Wildcats got a 24-yard touchdown run from Nate Walker to pull within 14-12 at halftime, and Tyler Miller’s 83-yard kickoff return for a TD to start the second half put Napoleon up for good.

Following a safety, which put the Wildcats ahead 22-14, Walker (seven carries, 87 yards) and Bryant Schlade sandwiched three-yard TD runs around a 48-yard scoring run from Charlie Harris to cap their 31-point second-half surge.

Napoleon outgained Wauseon (1-1) 284 to 220 in total offense. Jessie Finney scored on a five-yard run, and Ty Sumpken hit Logan Blue on a seven-yard pass for the Indians’ two scores.
