Yellow Jackets quarterback Steve Slocum completed 14-of-22 passes for 169 and three touchdowns to lead his team to the home win to open Northern Lakes League play last night.

Slocum threw two of the TD strikes to Austin McKinley, who finished with five catches for 86 yards. McKinley caught a 23-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter and a 17-yard scoring strike in the final period.

Slocum also threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Gordon.

Austin Bishop scored on a 97 yard run as Perrysburg (3-1, 1-0 NLL) finished with 201 yards passing and 197 yards rushing.

Springfield (2-2, 0-1) got its lone points on a 22-yard field goal by Devin Burns in the second quarter.
