BRIGHTON, Mich. -- Down 20-0 in the second quarter, Bedford scored the final 28 points for a comeback victory last night in the first round of the Division 1 playoffs.

Shane Dokey had TD runs of 25, 1 and 5 to build an early lead for Brighton (8-2), but Bedford's Alec Hullibarger scored on a 32-yard run with less than three minutes to play in the second quarter to make it 20-7 at halftime.

The Mules' defense then forced Brighton into a three-and-out to start the second half, and Bedford got another touchdown from Hullibarger on a two-yard run on the ensuing possession.

Jon Shepherd's 12-yard run put the Mules ahead 21-20 later in the third quarter, and Aaron Czesak (26 carries, 121 yards) added to their lead with a 27-yard TD run in the fourth quarter.

The Mules (7-3) will play Friday at Ann Arbor Pioneer (8-2) in a district final.
