The Toledo Walleye lost goaltender Carter Hutton, who had started in 12 straight games, to a call up on Saturday.

Hutton, the team's most steady player lately, was recalled to Rockford of the American Hockey League. Hutton had posted a record of 7-7-0 with the Walleye with a 3.15 goals against average. Hutton had 38 saves in Toledo's 4-2 loss to Greenville Friday night.

Forward Rob Flick also was recalled to Rockford on Saturday. Flick collected his fourth goal of the season on Friday. He also had six assists in Toledo.

In response, the Walleye signed forward John May and added goaltender Christian Davis as an emergency backup.

May has appeared in 16 games over the past two seasons with Toledo, collecting two goals and one assist. Davis, a former St. John's Jesuit goalie, served as an emergency back up for the Walleye last season.

Hutton joins former Walleye netminder Alec Richards in Rockford. On Friday, Rockford goalie Alexander Salak suffered a lower body injury.
