Both St. Francis and Central Catholic refused to give in during the regulation four quarters which ended 35-all at St. Francis, even though then Knights had raced off to a seven-point lead after the first quarter.

Central made the most of the overtime period, however, outscoring St. Francis 12-6. Danielle Turner scored 16 points, Deonte Gill 11, and Keith Towbridge 10 for the Irish. Nate White led St. Francis with 12.
