Northview (3-9, 5-12) held off a late-game surge by Perrysburg (8-4, 10-6), that was punctuated by a 20-point performance from the Yellow Jackets' Shane Edwards. The Wildcats went into the break leading Perrysburg 25-15.
Late in the third quarter Perrysburg's shooting from the field improved, and Edwards sank a pair of back-to-back 3-pointers.
With four minutes left in the game Perrysburg went up 43-42, but a pair of treys from Northview sophomore Adam Downing, who had a team-high 15 points for the night, helped the Wildcats regain the lead. Northview's Jeff Czerniakowski and Conner Hartnett both had 12 points each.
