Julius Brown scored 29 points and hit two late free throws to lead the University of Toledo to a 72-67 win at home over Central Michigan on Wednesday.
Brown, a freshman guard, was 10 of 11 from the field in tying his season-high for points.
With the win, UT (14-14, 5-8) improves to .500 for the first time since Jan. 18. Additionally, UT coach Tod Kowalczyk improves to 154-154 in his head coaching career.
CMU (8-19, 3-10) has lost 11 of 12. Trey Zeigler scored 33 points for the Chippewas but was just 2 of 7 from the free-throw line and missed an important attempt late in the game.
