DETROIT-- Next month's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway now has a name: the Quicken Loans 400.

Michigan International Speedway and Quicken Loans announced the June 17 race name today, and the race will be the first on the 2-mile oval following a full repave of the track in the fall. Last month, Jeff Gordon, Juan Pablo Montoya, Matt Kenseth and Brad Keselowski tested the track, and the four drivers reached speeds of up to 215 miles during the two days of testing.

The Quicken Loans 400 - originally named the Michigan 400 - is part of a weekend of racing events at Michigan International Speedway. The track will host ARCA Racing Series' Rain Eater Wiper Blades 200 on June 15, then host the NASCAR Nationwide Series' Alliance Truck Parts 250 on June 16.

Quicken Loans, a national online mortgage lender based in Detroit, is the primary sponsor of Ryan Newman's No. 39 Chevrolet and Stewart-Haas Racing, and is an associate sponsor of Tony Stewart, the reigning Sprint Cup champion.
