Edison beats Archbold girls in softball regional final, 10-2

ASHLAND, Ohio - Susan Knight's grand slam in the fourth inning helped Edison to a 10-2 win over Archbold today in a Division III regional final at Brookside Park.

Knight finished 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and five RBIs and struck out three for the Chargers (28-1), who advance to the state semifinals against Carroll Bloom-Carroll at 3 p.m. Thursday at Akron's Firestone Stadium .

Archbold (23-8) led 2-1 after two innings before Edison scored six runs on five hits and an error in the next two innings.

Hanna Allison struck out three for Archbold, which finished with five hits.
