Mud Hens drop 13-3 game to Columbus Clippers

The Mud Hens suffered a 13-3 loss to Columbus at Fifth Third Field today.

The 7 p.m. game opened with the Clippers scoring three runs in the first inning, then broke the contest open with a six-run third. Columbus also scored three times in the fifth and one more in the sixth to score the most runs Toledo has given up in a game this season.

The Mud Hens scored a run in the first on a home run by Danny Worth, then got a two-run single by John Lindsey in the fourth to close their scoring.

Toledo and Columbus finish their four-game series with a contest Thursday starting at 7 p.m
