Notes: It is being heralded as the marquee matchups in among college football season openers. The Wolverines face the Crimson Tide in Cowboys Stadium -- a behemoth of a facility that holds more than 80,000 spectators. But matchup-wise, it's an intriguing pairing. It pits Michigan quarterback and likely Heisman Trophy contender Denard Robinson against Alabama's A.J. McCarron, who paced the Crimson Tide to the 2011 BCS championship. Alabama's offensive line (which averages 6-5 and 315 pounds) is believed to be one of the strongest in the nation, and will face a reshuffled Michigan defensive line. Michigan's experienced secondary will face a youthful group of Alabama receivers.
