Bowling Green men's basketball will play Michigan during NIT Season Tip-Off

The dates, times and opponents for the Bowling Green men's basketball teams' games in the 2012 NIT Season Tip-Off were released today.

The Falcons will play a pair of games at Michigan's Crisler Arena on Nov. 12-13, beginning with a contest against Cleveland State Nov. 12 that tips off at 6 p.m. The second contest that day features the host Wolverines and IUPUI in a game that starts at 9 p.m.

The two winners and two losers will meet the next day, with one game starting at 5 p.m. and the other beginning at 8 p.m. The times for the consolation and championship games have not been set.

The winner of this "pod" will advance to Madison Square Garden for one of two semifinal games to be played on Nov. 21, with the consolation and championship games of the tournament to be played Nov. 23 at MSG.Teams that do not advance to New York City will play in third- and fourth-round games Nov. 19-20 on the campus of the three highest remaining seeds.

The top four seeds (or host schools) for the event are No. 1 Michigan, No. 2 Virginia, No. 3 Kansas State and No. 4 Pittsburgh. The next four seeded schools are No. 5 Lehigh, No. 6 Robert Morris, Cleveland State at No. 7 and No. 8 Delaware.
