Whiteford used a big night from Colin Lake and Brian Tabbert to top host Summerfield.

Lake rushed for 155 yards on 21 carries and a six-yard touchdown run. Tabbert scored three touchdowns on runs of 1, 4, and 25 yards. The Bobcats (5-1) scored 18 points in the fourth quarter to ensure the victory.

Lucas Diver threw for 168 yards and two touchdowns for Summerfield (4-2) and also scored on a one-yard run. Steve Schankin caught both touchdown passes from Diver on strikes from 14 and 12 yards out.

Ann Arbor Pioneer 14, Bedford 13

ANN ARBOR — The Mules came up short on a late gamble against host Pioneer.

Trailing by seven points with less than four minutes remaining, Nick Amos ran for a 43-yard touchdown. But the Mules (3-3) failed on a two-point conversion pass attempt, marking a sour end to a defensive struggle.

Bedford limited the hosts to 215 yards, but Pioneer scored on a 65-yard fumble return for a touchdown by Va'Shaun Davis in the second quarter and a two-yard run by Marquise Thomas in the fourth quarter.

Mules quarterback Brad Boss completed 7 of 12 passes for 129 yards and a touchdown — a 37-yarder to Collin Carter — and ran for 48 yards on 14 carries. Carter had five catches for 84 yards.
