NAPOLEON — Max Westhoven’s five-yard touchdown run in double overtime lifted Napoleon Friday night in a Northern Lakes League game.

David Yunker completed 11 of 18 passes for 149 yards and three TDs for the Wildcats, which included a 19-yard pass to Nick George, then 37 and 19-yard connections with Jordan Lauf.

The first lob to Lauf, and Lauf’s extra point, pushed the game to overtime; the second one provided Napoleon’s first points in overtime. Westhoven had 80 yards and two scores on 21 attempts for Napoleon (6-0-1, 4-0 NLL), which used a balanced attack. The Wildcats produced 174 yards rushing and 149 passing. Bryant Schlade added 106 yards on 14 carries.

The Generals (4-3, 2-2), however, stuck to the ground for all 378 yards with three different 100-yard rushers. Kyle Aranoysi led AW with 159 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries. Tommy Eichenlaub added 123 yards and a score on 15 attempts, and Sam Bruno finished with 101 yards on 23 rushes.

Jake Hartbarger kicked a 34-yard field goal for AW in the second overtime.
