Panthers march to an 8-0 record

FREMONT — Nick Holley completed 17 of 22 passes for 245 yards and five touchdowns, in addition to 104 yards rushing on 14 carries as the unbeaten Panthers rolled Friday night in a Three Rivers Athletic Conference game.

Nate Holley finished with four catches for 93 yards, including 26 and 27-yard TD catches. Tre Sterritt (27-yard score), Chris Boynkin (19-yard score), and Me’Gail Frish (33-yard score) also caught TD passes.

Sterritt added 43 and one-yard TD runs for Whitmer (8-0, 5-0 TRAC), which dominated total yards 478-233. Mike Baldwin’s 26-yard field goal provided Whitmer’s first points after the Little Giants (3-5, 1-4) jumped to a 14-0 lead early.

Fremont Ross’ Jacob Luc caught 35 and 19-yard TD passes from Tyler Wolf , who completed 9 of 18 passes for 196 yards.

Findlay 54, Clay 20

Paul Cosiano threw for four touchdowns and ran for two others to lead Findlay to a road victory.

Cosiano completed 16 of 21 passes for 229 yards, including 21 and 39-yard TD passes to Jimmy Orwick, a 22-yard scoring strike to Wyatt Krupp and a four-yard TD toss to Joseph Davidson.

Cosiano also had TD runs of 1 and 19 yards for Findlay (6-2, 3-2).

Vance Settlemire ran 20 times for 167 yards, including TD runs of 1 and 3 yards.

Clay (3-5, 1-4) led 14-0 after the first quarter thanks to a 90-yard run by Devin Dominque and a 25-yard scoring strike by Josh Pennington to Dominique.

Anthony Ramirez scored on a 17-yard pass from Pennington.

St. Francis 37,Lima Senior 21

Michael Wagner rushed 32 times for 225 yards and a touchdown of four yards to ignite the Knights at UT’s Glass Bowl.

Tyler Thebes caught two TD passes from David Nees and also had a 58-yard punt return for a score.

Nees added a third TD pass, a 70-yard scoring strike to Andrew Bonfiglio for St. Francis (3-5, 2-3). Kevin Olszewski added a 28-yard field goal.
