ATHENS, Ohio -- The Bowling Green State University football team leads Ohio University 19-14 after three quarters at Peden Stadium tonight.
The Bobcats scored a touchdown for the lone score of the quarter, driving 95 yards on 14 plays. The touchdown came on a 3-yard TD pass from Tyler Tettleton to Chase Cochran.
But the Falcons were threatening to score as the third period ended. BG forced a punt and Jude Adjei-Barimah claimed the team's second block in the game.
Brian Sutton recovered the block and BG took over on the Bobcats' 29, then drove down to the 4 as the period ended.
HALFTIME
The Bowling Green State University football team scored 19 second-quarter points to take a 19-7 halftime lead over Ohio at Peden Stadium tonight.
The Falcons' Brian Sutton blocked a punt at the end of the first quarter to give BG the ball at Bobcats' 20, and Anthon Samuel scored on a 15-yard run. On its next possession Bowling Green ran a fake sweep that saw Chris Gallon get open behind the Bobcats defense, and Matt Schilz hit him with a 55-yard TD pass.
Late in the second quarter Ohio's punter, Grant Venham, fumbled a snap and failed to get a first down, giving the Falcons the ball on OU's 35. Tyler Tate kicked a 35-yard field goal with 1:46 left.
Then late in the quarter Ohio kicker Matt Weller was unable to field a bad snap, and Cameron Truss and Jude Adjei-Barimah tackled Weller in the end zone for a safety with just 18 seconds to play.

The Bobcats took the opening kick and drove 72 yards on 11 plays, with Tyler Tettleton scoring on a five-yard run with 9:18 left in the quarter.
The Falcons got a break at the end of the quarter when Brian Sutton blocked a punt that went out of bounds, giving BG the ball on Ohio's 20 with seven seconds left in the quarter.
