Bedford Mules move on to first volleyball title game since 2005

BATTLE CREEK — The Temperance Bedford volleyball team will make it's first Class A State Championship appearance in seven years after its 3-1 victory today over No. 8 Grand Haven (25-20, 25-13, 18-25, 25-23).

The Mules now await the winner of Northville and No. 3 Macomb Dakota, to play in Saturday's 2 p.m. state championship match

Senior Taylor Foster led the Temperance Bedford attack with 13 kills while Kayla Gwozdz added 12. Junior setter MacKenzie Andrews dished out 47 assists on the night while libero Ellen Hays snagged 21 digs. Lexie Curtis finished with 16 digs and three aces and Nicole Rightnowar collected nine kills, nine digs and two aces.
