FINDLAY - Bellevue pulled off a stunning 35-20 victory over No. 1 ranked Napoleon on Saturday night in a Division III regional final at Donnell Stadium.
The Redmen (12-1) went ahead 28-6 over the Wildcats (11-1-1) by halftime and never looked back en route to claiming the upset win. Quarterback Jalen Santoro led Bellevue on four scoring drives in the first half, throwing two touchdowns and rushing for another to help the Redmen's cause.
Napoleon's Jordan Lauf caught touchdown passes of 21 and 6 yards from David Yunker to lead the Wildcats, who were looking to advance to the state semifinals for the first time in school history.
