UT men fall to Chicago State 58-53

Despite making all 20 of its free throws, the University of Toledo men's basketball team dropped a 58-53 decision today at home to Chicago State.

The Rockets, who fall to 4-7, shot just 31 percent from the field and were 3 of 17 on 3-pointers.

Chicago State (4-12) outscored the Rockets 14-6 in the final three minutes and knocked down three 3-pointers in that time.

UT, which will be off until it opens its Mid-American Conference season Jan. 9 at Kent State, was led by Rian Pearson's 14 points.
