Bowling Green hockey stuns No. 5 Notre Dame in 4-2 win

BOWLING GREEN -- The Bowling Green State University hockey team knocked off No. 5 Notre Dame 4-2 at the Ice Arena tonight.

After falling behind 1-0 after one period, the Falcons scored twice in each of the final two period to extend their unbeaten streak to five games.

Ryan Carpenter and Bryce Williamson each had goals in the final period for BG, which improved to 7-10-5 overall and 4-7-3-1 in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association.

Andrew Hammond finished with 21 saves against the Fighting Irish, who are 15-7-0 overall and 11-3-0-0 in the league.
