Nathan Boothe hit a game-winning 3-pointer as time expired to lift the University of Toledo men's basketball team to a 65-64 win over Miami at Savage Arena.

The Rockets had to inbound the ball three times in the final 3.3 seconds. The first, from Matt Smith to Boothe, got the ball across half court before Toledo called timeout. The second, again by Smith from the sideline, bounced off the backboard. A Miami player recovered but was whistled for traveling. On the third, from the baseline, Smith passed to Boothe on the wing, and the freshman center made his first career 3.

An official's review to determine whether Boothe's foot was on the line upheld the call.

Miami's Reggie Johnson's put back with 2.8 seconds left gave Miami a 64-63 lead.

Julius Brown led Toledo (10-10, 6-3 Mid-American Conference) with 18 points, and Rian Pearson had 16. Boothe added 13.
