DETROIT - Jonathan Ericsson's goal with 4.5 seconds left in regulation lifted the Detroit Red Wings to a 3-2 win over Los Angeles today at Joe Louis Arena.

Ericsson's slap shot from the right point trickled through the pads of Kings goalie Jonathan Quick, and answered Alec Martinez's game-tying goal with 52.8 seconds left in the third.

Pavel Datsyuk and Damien Brunner scored for the Red Wings.

Anze Kopitar scored for Los Angeles, and Jonathan Quick made 28 saves for the Kings.

Detroit hosts St. Louis at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
