Boothe leads UT men to 73-64 win over Central Michigan

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Freshman Nathan Boothe scored 13 of his career-high 19 points in the second half to lead the University of Toledo to a 73-64 win today at Central Michigan.

Boothe was the recipient of several lob passes from Julius Brown (eight assists).

Rian Pearson, who topped 1,000 points in his Toledo career, had 18 points and 12 rebounds. Pearson, who played his freshman season at Green Bay, scored his 1000th overall point earlier this season.

UT (12-11, 8-4 Mid-American Conference) remains even with Western Michigan atop the West division. Those teams will each play a non-conference game before meeting Feb. 27 at Savage Arena.
