Brandon Marino's goal with less than three minutes left in the third period lifted the Fort Wayne Komets to a 3-1 win over the Toledo Walleye tonight at the Huntington Center.
Marino's tally came three minutes after Nino Musitelli tied the game at 1-1 for Toledo. Matt Syroczynski and Jean-Michel Rizk also scored for Fort Wayne.
Kent Simpson made 26 saves for Toledo, while Jeff Deslauriers made 27 saves for Fort Wayne.
The Walleye host Cincinnati at 5:05 p.m. Sunday at the Huntington Center.
