EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The Walleye lost their fourth straight game tonight as a late rally fell short once again.
Nino Musitelli scored twice and Toledo finished with a big edge in shots on goal, but Evansville knocked off the Walleye 6-3.
Musitelli scored 4:44 into the game as Toledo took an early 1-0 lead. But the IceMen scored the next four goals.
The Walleye pulled within 4-3 late in the game on Byron Froese's goal.
But Patrick Kennedy put it out of reach with a shorthanded marker and Jason Dale added an empty net goal for the final margin.
Toledo outshot Evansville 35-26.
Randy Rowe had two assists for Toledo (30-20-8). Goalie Jordan Pearce finished with 20 saves on 25 shots.
The teams meet again in Toledo on Saturday night.
