CHICAGO — The Ohio State basketball team won its third Big Ten Tournament title in four years with a 50-43 win over Wisconsin today at the United Center.
Evening the score from a blowout loss to the Badgers that redirected their season last month, the Buckeyes won their eighth straight game with an 11-2 closing run.
After trailing 41-39 with less than eight minutes left, OSU held Wisconsin without a field goal the rest of the way. Deshaun Thomas led the Buckeyes with 17 points and seven rebounds.
Ohio State will find out its NCAA Tournament destination later today.
