Walleye road win over Komets moves Toledo into 6th place in ECHL standings

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Toledo captain Kyle Rogers scored the game-winning goal tonight with four minutes, 32 seconds remaining to give the Walleye a 3-2 victory over the Fort Wayne Komets.

The goal was Rogers 14th of the season and was assisted on by Aaron Bogosian, who scored his 13th goal of the season in the first period.

Also scoring for Toledo was Ben Youds, his sixth with the Walleye.

Matt Syroczynski and Jamie Milam scored for the Komets (32-34-4).

Kent Simpson stopped 26 shots to get the win for the Walleye (36-26-9).

The win pushes Toledo into sixth place in the ECHL Eastern Conference with one game remaining.
