LOS ANGELES -- LaQuinton Ross hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to move the Ohio State basketball team within one win of the Final Four tonight at Staples Center.
Four days after Aaron Craft's last-second 3 pushed the Buckeyes into the Sweet 16, Ross' shot with 2 seconds left lifted the second-seeded OSU to a 73-70 victory over No. 6-seed Arizona.
A late six-point OSU lead had given way to a tie game after Mark Lyons' converted an old-fashioned three-point play with 21.8 seconds left. Ross answered with the biggest shot of his career, then OSU intercepted Arizona's last-ditch heave.
The Buckeyes next play Saturday against the winner of the second regional semifinal tonight between La Salle and Wichita State.
