LONDON — Thousands of German soccer fans have started gathering at Wembley Stadium ahead of the Champions League final.

In the first all-German final, Borussia Dortmund is playing Bayern Munich later today in European soccer's showpiece match.

Yellow Dortmund shirts were dominating the north London streets around the stadium in the morning. Fans were drinking beer amid a low-key security operation, days after a British soldier was killed in south London on Wednesday.

The official UEFA dinner on Friday was disrupted by three people infiltrating a London venue to protest against the under-21s European Championship being hosted by Israel next month. They got onto the stage behind UEFA President Michel Platini.

UEFA says they "caused a minor disturbance" and "were quickly apprehended and arrested by the police."
