Owens finishes 10th at national golf tourney
5/25/2013SCOTTSBORO, Ala. — The Owens Community College men’s golf team shot a 311 (+23) on the final day of the NJCAA Division II national tournament and finished the four-day event in 10th place.
Darren Gessner shot a 75 on Friday, Walter Dorosh shot a 78, Brandon Hoelzer and Blaze Hogan each fired a 79, and Luke Berger turned in an 80.
The Express finished with a score of 1197 (+45) for the tournament. Hoelzer was the top finisher for the Express with a four-day total of 294 (+6), which put him in a tie for 25th overall.
