TAMPA BAY — Former University of Toledo standout wide receiver and kick return specialist Eric Page made the 53-player roster for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Page, a Springfield High graduate, signed a free-agent contract last season with the Denver Broncos but suffered a season-ending knee injury before the season.

Facing long odds to make the Bucs team as a free agent, Page impressed second-year coach Greg Schiano with his versatility on kick returns.

"Right now, I'm glad I'm here now to play for the Bucs," Page said.

BROWNS: Clevleand continued overhauling their 53-man roster, terminating the contracts of running back Brandon Jackson and Kellen Davis.

The team also claimed six players off waivers while waiving linebacker L.J. Fort, offensive lineman Caylin Hauptmann, offensive lineman Jarrod Shaw and fullback Brad Smelley.

The Browns remain without a kicker after terminating veteran Shayne Graham's contract and cutting rookie Brandon Bogotay on Saturday.

Also, the Browns claimed tight ends MarQueis Gray and Keavon Miller, running backs Dennis Johnson and Bobby Rainey, offensive lineman Patrick Lewis and linebacker Brandon Magee off waivers.

LIONS: Detroit released linebacker Rocky McIntosh, 15 days after signing the seven-year NFL veteran.

McIntosh played six seasons for Washington before starting nine games for St. Louis in 2012.

Detroit signed eight players to its practice squad. They are guard Rodney Austin, wide receiver Corey Fuller, cornerback Chris Greenwood, linebacker Brandon Hepburn, running backs Shaun Chapas and Steven Miller and defensive tackles Xavier Proctor and Jimmy Saddler-McQueen.
