YPSILANTI, Mich. -- Eastern Michigan University women's basketball player Olivia Fouty, a Sylvania native, was named Mid-American Conference West Division player of the week, the league announced today.
Fouty, a junior who played at Northview High School, averaged 19.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists in a pair of victories last week.
In an overtime win against Butler, Fouty turned in her 10th career double-double with a career-best 20 points in addition to 10 rebounds. She was 6-of-10 from the field in the win, while knocking down a career-high three 3-pointers.
Fouty followed with 19 points, five rebounds and four assists in a road victory at Cleveland State.
